Eligibility Criteria

There are no fixed eligibility requirements from GMAC. However:

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Scheduling & Frequency

  • The GMAT is offered year-round, subject to seat availability.
  • You can attempt it up to 5 times in a rolling 12-month period (maximum of 8 lifetime attempts).

Test Fee (as of 2025)

  • USD 275 for both online and test center formats.
  • Rescheduling fee: USD 55–165 depending on notice period.
  • Cancellation fee: Partial refund of USD 110–165.

Scoring and Validity

  • Score Range: 205–805 (in increments of 10)
  • Average Global Score: Around 565–585
  • Validity: 5 years
  • Score Report Includes: Total score, sectional scores, and percentile ranking
  • Score Sending: 5 free score reports after the exam; additional reports cost USD 35 each

Business schools generally place the highest weight on the total score, though sectional balance also matters.
